Introducing the Xeon W-2104! This Server processor is a marvel in Intel's high-end range. Debuted in 2017, it's packed with 4 cores and 4 threads. It operates at a base clock speed of 3.2GHz, can ramp up to 3.2GHz, and has a power consumption of 120W, ready to supercharge your gaming system. The Xeon W-2104 is built on the Skylake (server) 14nm platform and belongs to the esteemed Xeon W series.

The Xeon W-2104 is the more expensive version of the Xeon W-2102, and it shows with its higher base and boost clock speeds: 3.2 GHz and 3.2 GHz, respectively. That's a nice boost in speed, but the real game changer is the higher power delivery (PPT). This lets the motherboard pump more juice (up to 142W) to the Xeon W-2104 compared to the Xeon W-2102's limit of 120W. This extra power allows the Xeon W-2104 to crank up the boost clocks even more aggressively, on both single and multiple cores. That means the performance gap between these two CPUs might be bigger than what the specs on paper suggest.

If you don't care too much about overclocking and max boost speeds, then the Intel Xeon W-2102 is a good option for $202. It also has 4 cores and 4 threads, but with slightly lower clock speeds (2.9GHz base and 2.9GHz boost).

Building on the success of mainstream Xeon W CPUs, Intel is now attacking the high-end market with the Xeon W-2104 processors, available since 29 August 2017.
